Heaven’s Wallpaper 22" x 30" Watercolor

I started out making paintings that were consumed with objects, mostly toys, that by changing the context of these elements created a new reality.  A sense of collision on a single plane became my starting point.  As I tackled the concept of space, I purposely choose not to repeat subject matter in an effort to explore spatial relationships using WATERCOLOR.  Later pieces like "Possible Parameter Punctuated" and "KA-Boom," which were loaded with recognizable elements provided not only a personal narrative, but also an avenue for taking watercolor to another level.  Arial perspectives using multiple layers of color help create visual tension and have helped my work take the next step in the evolution from still-lives to landscapes.

Brook Overline is a contemporary abstract realist artist who combines different mediums with watercolors to explore spatial relationships in expression.
